Secondary Visual and Performing Arts Materials and Texts

The California Learning Resource Network (CLRN) is soliciting materials for visual and performing arts that speak to the California secondary (or 7-12) arts standards and that are offered electronically, on CDs, digitally, online, distance learning, e-learning.

Materials/texts reviewed that are identified as addressing the California standards and pass the legal, social compliance review, will have their materials/texts posted on the CLRN site.  Publishers may submit their Electronic Learning Resources for review at any time (those reviewed successfully will appear on the CLRN site 90 days after the next scheduled reviewing panel meeting).  CLRN is the state's source for California standards-aligned electronic learning resource information.  Publishers/providers interested in submitting should contact CLRN at 209-525-4979 or eamil CLRN at info@clrn.org.  You may also contact Nancy Carr at ncarr@cde.ca.gov or 916-445-5669.

CBEDS Course Titles and Descriptions - Dance

If you are an instructor in dance in the public schools please go to:  www.cde.ca.gov/ds/sd/cb/subjects.asp     At this site you will see current state assignment codes, titles and definitions for dance.  Please look at those titles and descriptions.  What titles need to be deleted?  What titles need to be added?  Of the current titles, what needs to be added or deleted to their descriptions?   The CBEDs listing has not changed in more than 10 years. In many cases the titles are fine and only simple modifications are needed such as more up-to-date semantics/wording used/added for inclusion under that course assignment title and that's all.  In other cases courses haven't be taught for years and need to be deleted. To bring the list current for the 2006-2007 school year your input is needed to be received by June 24th; please send to Nancy Carr at ncarr@cde.ca.gov.
